Public Domain Pixel Ponies

I am in need of some cash. I am not an artist but I do put pixels on the screen sometimes. Here is the majority of my pixel pony art. All art was drawn by me and it is free to use as a basis for any of your retro pixel pony needs. 

As a fair chunk of it is utilitarian and some projects might require more assets or some derivative work, it is being considered public domain for ease of use. No weird licenses or credit needs to be kept tabs on. 

There are over 140 files included. About 60% of it is one base with many common pretty little pony hairstyles, manes, and things like freckles, a lily in the mane or a cowboy hat. The majority of the bases (including the 75% one) are NOT just walking animations. There's flying, bucking, foreleg swinging, jumping, etc. 

I personally think this is a fantastic beginning for pony sprites personalized for your game. There are mostly two bases:

8-way 32x32 sprites with a dozen animations, 16x16 sprites, a Final Fantasy 6 style Twilight Sparkle (16x24), a Final Fantasy 1 battle sprite style (consider it cosplay), a 32x32 G1-style pony sprite with many animations.

A few of the bases have a 'trot' animation that's 6 frames long instead of the typical human 1-2-1-3 walk cycle and I think they look cute and accurate, if I do say so myself. 

October 3rd, 2015: I've added some assets from a roguelite I'm working on in the "NES" Folder". Mostly just a base and some manes and eyes for now but I've color-coded these so that the colors can be more easily swapped out based on the hue of the pixels with a shader. Body is hue 0, hair allows two colors: hue 30, hue 60. Eyes are also hue 0 but I tend to "bake" my ponies assets instead of drawing each layer during gameplay. 

There's a few bonuses thrown in if I thought they were pony-related. Mostly my FF6 Megan sprite (she can ride on the G1 pony base!) and the beginnings of my my isometric cloudsdale and town tilesheet that works very well with the eight-way 32x32 sprites.

Again, this is FREE but it's also Pay What You Want. Buying means you are helping both of us get ajumpstart on our pixel pony projects! Feel free to download first and pay later if you've found value in it! There's no rush and no harm. 

I think most of the spritesheets are very self-evident how to use. The big 75% chunk with like 12 hairstyles has quite a few layers but you could figure it out in less than a minute.
